Last one from my favorite arc!
Lauren wakes up, shocked to find herself in Kieran's home and bed. Ever the detective/nosybody, she explores his home, surprised by how many books he owns. She pulls out several books: The Secret Garden, The Killing Joke, and the Man Who Laughs. We discuss all of these and theorize on how they relate to the story.

She speculates about his childhood, and then notices the crutch he left for her, wondering if he even slept at all. She also notices his drawings, and a locked door.
At that moment, Kieran returns with a hilarious epithet, and is bedazzled at the sight of Lauren in his shirt and nothing else. 💖💖💖 It's love, people!
But to cover up his gaze, he throws Lauren's duffle bag at her face, and goes off to eat his apple while inquiring about her health. (As did Mr. Darcy. Repeatedly.)
Discomfited by this caring and normal human interaction, Kieran deflects with practical information and a joke.
When Lauren emerges, she is in formal uniform, all set to attend Harvey's funeral.
