Midnight Poppy Land 67: High Suspicions (with Debbie and Veronica)

If we thought Gil was sus before, we certainly think it now! His conversation with his wife triggers all kinds of alarms, as does his cold demeanor upon reminiscing. Is he planning on using Poppy as a scapegoat for his crimes?  

Poppy, meanwhile, is trying to validate Julri's text. When her search uncovers no verification, she is forced to call the unknown number, where she is met with the most gaslighting, manipulative, and narcissistic piece of garbage known to mankind. Thankfully, though, Poppy gives him exactly what he deserves. Go, girl! She vents her frustrations much like Tora did, but with no strawberry tie to stop her.  

She heads back to the office to part, and Erdene acts very strangely. Why did she offer to come with her? Why didn't she answer Poppy? What does she know? Who is the "we"?   

Also, we appreciate Jacob. Clueless, but affirming.  The episodes ends with a very intimidating hulk knocking Jacob over, wanting to know where his Poppy is.
